Course Objectives: 

THEA 274 Stained Glass is a free elective course that is open to all departments of our university. Basic Stained Glass is a course designed to help students develop their artistic skills, knowledge, and experience with stained glass materials and artistic appreciation.

The elements and principles of design will be studied as they apply to the projects at hand. This class will approach project design from fine arts perspective; therefore, aesthetics and design will be addressed, as well as skill and craftsmanship. It is expected that students will read, write, and speak about stained glass.

Learning Outcomes:

1. The aim of the course is to have an artistic way of thinking.

2. Develops the ability to use visual design elements.

COURSE OUTLINE:

Week 1: Introduction. Purpose of THEA 274 Stained Glass and giving an outline of the course.

Week 2: General information about stained glass applications.

Week 3: Work on the design of the work to be done.

Week 4: Transfer of design to surface.

Week 5: Working on the project.

Week 6: Working on the project.

Week 7: Working on the project.
